An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our specialist Public Health team in St Helens, to support the delivery of some of our key Public Health priorities and programmes.
We are looking for someone with relevant experience in health-related project management, partnership working and commissioning. You will work within a supportive, expert Public Health team and be able to develop relationships with other agencies to support the development and delivery of strategies and plans, to improve the health and wellbeing of local people.
Your work areas may change from time to time, but initial priorities will include tackling obesity, including working with our commissioned services to improve weight management pathways for local people, supporting the implementation of our Physical Activity Strategy - ‘Active Lives’ alongside a range of partners, supporting the improvement of the ‘wider determinants’ of health such as housing, transport. You will also work alongside other public health commissioners to oversee the performance and transformation of services, such as the Substance Misuse services and the Integrated Wellbeing service.
We have flexible ways of working in place in the Council. You will be able to work remotely from home as well as attending meetings and workshops in person. You will be a member of the specialist Public Health team, which provides an environment in which to develop and learn. The team sits within the Integrated Health and Social Care Directorate, which also includes the CCG and Adult Social Care.
