The Governors of this successful school wish to appoint highly effective teaching assistant / apprentice teaching assistant to support children across school. The successful candidate should be able to work within a team of teachers and other learning assistants, be flexible and willing to learn new skills to help support the pupils in their care.
The duties will include the following:
· Supporting pupils within classes, including those with Special Educational Needs.
· Supporting individual children or small groups of pupils with literacy and numeracy interventions
· Supporting teaching staff in terms of administration and display work, including record keeping.
· Supervision of pupils and promotion of good behaviour
· Establishing positive relationships with parents/carers
· Contributing to the ethos of the school and supporting extra-curricular activities and events.

Teaching Assistants: You will need to hold a relevant L2 or higher childcare qualification, have good communication skills and excellent literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent, Grade 4/C or above).
Apprentice Teaching Assistants: You will undertake a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship and will be supported with excellent training to become a skilled and valued team member. You will hold GCSE or equivalent Maths & English GCSE/ Functional Skills Equivalent (Grade 4/C or Level 2). Salary will be paid at the national apprenticeship rate.
