The Governors of St Austin’s RC Primary School wish to appoint a hard-working, honest, dependable and self-motivated Caretaker, who will provide a vital role in maintaining our school site, to ensure we provide a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.
Main duties will include opening and securing buildings, cleaning, basic DIY and general day to day duties at the request of the Headteacher/ Business Manager within Health and Safety regulations.
Applicants must have the ability to prioritise their work and have good communication skills. Applicants must also have the ability to work on their own initiative and also in a team environment.
You will be expected to complete basic paperwork eg stock control forms, Health and Safety inspection sheets, work request forms.
Experience in a relevant trade is desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake relevant training.
You will be entitled to 23 days annual leave per year, based on less than 5 years continuous service with St Helens Council, and annual leave must be taken during the school holidays.
This post is subject to satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate.
