Due to one of our Assistant Headteachers securing a Deputy Head Teacher role, the Governing Body of Newton-le-Willows Primary School and Nursery are looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic, inspirational and committed Assistant Headteacher, to become part of an ambitious Senior Leadership Team to build on our school successes and drive us forward.

You will need to be a strategic leader who:

Key responsibilities of the role will be to lead a Key Stage (Key Stage to be confirmed) and to lead specific subject across the curriculum (also to be confirmed). The role will involve a part time teaching commitment, with dedicated leadership time. The year group(s) to be taught following appointment will be determined by the skills/expertise of the successful candidate and determined by the areas of responsibility outlined above.

Tour of School: Thursday 13th January 2022 (9:30-10:30am and 4:00-5:00pm)

Closing Date: Thursday 20th January 2022 (noon)

Shortlisting: Friday 21st January 2022

Lesson Observations: Monday 31st January 2022 and Tuesday 1st February 2022

Tasks and Interview: Thursday 3rd February 2022 and Friday 4th February 2022
