Making A Difference as a Cook in the Commercial Catering Section of School Traded Services.

We are looking to appoint a Cook for Willowbees Café based within Newton le Willows Health and Leisure Centre.

The role would require you to work as a team of two cooks to oversee the delivery of a Catering service to the centre, based primarily within the soft play area but also providing a food and drinks service to members and visitors to the centre, and also catering provision for children's parties.

Within this role you would be expected to lead on the preparation, cooking and delivery of the food and drink provision, leading and training a small team of employees when on shift. You would be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service ensuring all Health and Safety policies are adhered to and ensuring a safe delivery of service following all HACCP management systems.

This role will also have responsibility of the management of the tills and financial element of the service including the day-to-day procurement of supplies.

The Café operates 7 days a week and a rota-based system will be in place for which you will manage certain elements.

The hours are 25 per week, to be worked 4 days Monday to Friday and 1 day on a Saturday or Sunday on a rota basis.

As a minimum you would require a Food Hygiene certificate and would be expected to carry out an Intermediate Hygiene qualification and would be required to hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in food cookery.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance.
