Job Description

The Governors of St Peter’s C.E. Primary School are seeking to appoint a skilled, caring, thoughtful and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work in our Early Years Foundation Stage. Experience of delivering phonics and working in EYFS is preferred.

You will work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils while also promoting pupil independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. You will assist pupils so they can access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement. Candidates must be committed to continuing professional development. Candidates must be able to work as part of a skilled, well - informed and positive team of staff and be able to think creatively to meet pupils’ needs. The school, in return, can offer an opportunity to make a positive contribution to the life of the school and wider community and extensive training opportunities. Experience of working with children with additional needs and children with challenging behaviour will be an advantage. . St Peter’s C.E.
