St.Helens Borough Council is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Housing Solutions and Advice Officer who can meet the challenge of finding housing solutions for local residents.
Working within the Housing Options and Advice Service you will provide frontline advice for clients experiencing accommodation problems and you will be responsible for assessing their needs and deciding on the most appropriate course of action, including assisting people into temporary and permanent accommodation.
We are looking for an excellent communicator with a mature approach, who has the ability to deal sensitively with customers who may have multiple needs, as well as the ability to handle difficult situations. A background in housing advice/options and knowledge of the Local Authority’s statutory duties under the Homelessness legislation is essential. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to customer care and the ability to deliver a quality service.
This post is fixed term until 31 March 2023.
