Making A Difference as A Leisure Assistant in Leisure Services

Do you hold a lifeguard qualification? Think you would you enjoy working in a leisure environment and could become a great asset to our front-line customer service team? If so dive into this role with passion, motivation, and creativity to deliver outstanding customer service for Go Active.

Newton-Le-Willows Health & Fitness are looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals with excellent customer care skills to work in the Council's Health & Fitness facilities. Ideally we are looking for individuals with first-hand experience of working in the Leisure Industry, who enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills with a good understanding of service delivery. Day to day duties will include swimming pool supervision, general cleaning and housekeeping tasks and equipment set up. Each of these tasks requires a high level of interaction and communication with customers, including the completion of customer facility tours. You will be required to work shifts including evenings, early mornings and weekends and we need a commitment to working flexibly to meet the needs of the service, to provide cover for colleagues and to attend training when required.

· Enhanced rates for weekend working will attract an allowance of time and a half / double time if you have worked within the same role, within the same week. You will also receive and allowance for evening working.

If you hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Certificate or are willing to gain your qualification within 12 weeks of commencement and have the skills and experience to add value to our service, then we would like to hear from you. PLEASE NOTE: The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is an essential criteria for these posts: - 3 posts are based at Newton-Le-Willows Health & Fitness Centre

2 posts are 37 hours per week, one being on a temporary basis.
We also have a 28.66 hours (average per week).
