Due to our exciting expansion, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join our brand new Orchard Specialist Provision.
The Orchard will open in September 2025 as a satellite of our well-established Rectory Specialist Provision for children with autism. It will provide a nurturing, structured environment for 32 children across four specialist classrooms. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something truly special from the very beginning.

What We’re Looking For

• Experienced (or eager to learn) in working with children with SEND, especially those with communication, sensory, and social needs.
• A creative and reflective practitioner, who tailors learning to the needs of each individual child.
• An excellent communicator who works collaboratively with support staff, families, and external professionals.
• Positive, proactive, and ready to make a lasting impact on the lives of our pupils.

• A highly supportive team of staff who are passionate about autism education.
• A personalised, EHCP-led curriculum following the EQUALS framework, with informal and semi-formal pathways.
• Ongoing CPD opportunities, including autism-specific training such as PECS, TEACCH, Makaton, and sensory integration.
• Close links with our main school site, enabling us to offer our children a broad range of experiences and meaningful inclusion.
• A workplace full of joy, purpose, and magical moments—every single day.

Come and See For Yourself
Visits to the school are available on 6th or 7th May or an informal chat with myself or a member of SLT are warmly welcome up to the deadline. Please contact Mrs Proudfoot, school business manager, to make an appointment.
