Job Description
The Social Work Assessment Service is seeking full and part time newly qualified and experienced social workers, to join one of the 6 Social Work Teams, at this exciting time of development in St Helens. The Service supports children and families in respect of Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans and Children we Look after, including those in Care Proceedings. We are seeking social workers who have at least 1 year post qualifying experience and who have the skills in and passion for working with children and families, to make a difference.

We offer a structured programme of training and support.

The salary for this post is SCP 23-32 however consideration will be given to an additional £4,000 recruitment and retention allowance.

The service has embarked on a wide range of improvement work to improve outcomes for children and families.
You will work to help support the effective and timely delivery of appropriate intervention and support services to children and their families.

The successful applicant will:
