The Social Work Assessment Service is seeking full and part time newly qualfied and experienced social workers to join one of the 6 Social Work Teams at this exciting time of development in St Helens. The Service supports children and families in respect of Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans and Children we Look after, including those in Care Proceedings. We are seeking social workers who have at least 1 year post qualifying experience and who have the skills in and passion for working with children and families to make a difference.
We offer a structured programme of training and support.
The salary for this post is SCP 23-32 however consideration will be given to an additional £2,000 recruitment and retention allowance upon appointment for experienced Social Workers.

You will work to help support the effective and timely delivery of appropriate intervention and support services to children and their families.
