The Governors of Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Level 2 Learning Assistant. The successful candidate will provide support for all pupils including SEND pupils in a Key Stage 1 or 2 class with duties ranging as follows:
• General classroom duties supporting teaching and learning
• Supporting the class teacher to create a positive working relationship and environment, conducive to effective learning for all children and being able to motivate and inspire all children.
• High expectations and promotion of good behaviour
• Able to deliver small group sessions to help deepen children’s knowledge and understanding
• Eager to develop their skills and abilities
• Participate in training, other learning activities and performance development as required.
• Will fully support the school’s Catholic ethos and be committed to building pupils’ self-esteem, self-discipline and love of learning to underpin their progress in the basic skills. uphold our school motto ‘Live, Love, Learn. Together we will soar to new heights.’
NVQ Level 2 Qualification or above is desirable as is experience of working in a relevant primary phase as a Learning Assistant supporting the class teacher and learners.
