We are looking for an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join our fast-paced communications teams. The ideal candidate will bring new experience, skills and ideas into the team.
The position is fixed term for a period of 12 months. Your hours of work will be 37 per week.
We are a small joint team delivering Communications, Marketing, PR and Engagement for both the Council and CCG. Size doesn’t limit our ability to make St Helens a better place through great content, understanding our audiences and developing our channels.
This is a new post dedicated to developing and delivering our communication approach. Never has the need been more apparent than during our response to the pandemic and we want to continue to accelerate what we’ve achieved in the last 12 months.
You will be a key part of the Communications Team delivering the Council’s internal and external communications strategies, with a specific focus on supporting the Authority’s response to Covid-19 and the track and trace and vaccination programmes.
You will hold a degree or equivalent (preferably in Communications, Marketing, PR or Journalism) and have three or more years’ experience in developing and delivering communication plans.
