Located in the heart of the Northwest close to Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire, St Helens is a transformational Council which is passionate and ambitious for the communities we support. We provide a wide range of local authority services to the residents, businesses, schools, and visitors to the borough. We can only do this because of our highly valued, highly skilled workforce.

Working together, our workplace vision and values guide our organisation, and the contribution of our workforce is key to our culture journey. Employees with us receive a wide range of benefits including well-being in work, financial benefits, ways of working and learning and development support.

Making A Difference as A Senior Licensing Officer in the Communities Department

We are delighted to recruit to this role in our busy Licensing and Land Charges Team.

Our team assess over 1500 licences and applications every year together with over 3,000 enquires to our Land Charges service and deliver these statutory services, to the very highest standard.

The post of Senior Licensing Officer is one of two within the Licensing Team and this post holds specific responsibility to oversee the delivery of applications under the Licensing Act and Gambling.

Ideally, we seek to recruit an experienced licensing officer to join us to manage this team. You will work under the direction of the Licensing Manager, and in co-operation with the Principal Operations Officer. You will have access to industry training and be a key part of this important team.

In return we offer a competitive salary, flexible and hybrid agile working and free parking.
