Abbeyford short breaks is rated outstanding with Ofsted and is seeking to appoint 2 part-time Residential Support Workers. Abbeyford provides short breaks to children and young people (age 7-18) with learning disabilities, who also have health or behavioural needs.
The service is committed to providing a high standard of care to all children and young people who attend. We promote a positive environment in which their social, emotional, physical and educational needs are met.
The successful candidate will be required to work a shift pattern including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and also undertake sleep ins and waking nights, for which an additional allowance is payable. You must have knowledge of child development and be able to identify and respond to young peoples needs. You must be available at short notice to work and also have two years experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities.
You will receive regular supervision and support, including in-house training opportunities.
