St Helens Adult and Community Learning (ACL) deliver a variety of learning courses for adults remotely and in a range of venues across the borough of St Helens. We would like to recruit a Community Learning Officer to work 30 hours per week on a permanent contract.
The successful applicant will:
• Have experience of working in a busy adult learning environment
• Work as a member of the ACL team, welcoming and assisting adult learners and
providing timely and accurate information, advice and guidance on a 1:1 basis as
required.
• Assist the Head of Service and Development Managers in the active engagement of the
local community and partners in consultation and evaluation of learning provision as
appropriate, including the compilation and analysis of feedback
• Take a prominent role in the promotion and marketing of ACL, including the creative use
of social media and the production of other materials
• Be able to work accurately with good attention to detail and work in an organised and
flexible manner.
Applicants will need to have a good standard of English, maths and computer skills and be able to work under the pressures of a busy, learner-centred environment.
