Job Description
Come and work alongside our highly effective Governor Services Support Team to work with and for School Governing Bodies in the Borough.

We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic people to the post of Casual Governing Body Clerk. Working alongside our Governor Services Support Team, you will act as Clerk to a number of St Helens school's Governing Bodies. The majority of Governing Body meetings take place in the evening, therefore you will need to have a flexible approach to working times. A good understanding of current educational or management issues within schools and Local Authority's is desirable.

You will:
- Be able to offer advice and administrative support to Governing Bodies
- Be flexible in your working time
- Be enthusiastic, experienced, and able to follow procedures
- Be willing to cover colleagues at short notice when possible
- Be able to keep accurate notes of meetings and produce minutes to an expected standard
- Be able to work on your own initiative.

We will:
- Offer induction support on taking up the post
- Offer training and support to enable independent working
- Work alongside you initially as you learn
- Offer flexible working arrangements

This post is subject to external funding, which is reviewed at the end of each financial year on the 31st March.
