St. Helens Library Service is now recruiting Library Assistants. This is an opportunity for you to join a nationally renowned Library Service that provides a quality and diverse range of services to the community.
You should want to work with people of all ages as babies, children and adults use our libraries. You will work as part of a team and should be able to demonstrate excellent customer care skills. We are looking for people who love to read and can recommend books, music or film for people to enjoy.
There are 3 Library Assistant positions available:
2 x 18-hour posts at Peter Street and Garswood Libraries
1x 26-hour post at Eccleston Library
Posts include evening and weekend working and successful candidates may be required to work at any Library Service point across the Borough.
Council employees are required to abide by the ethical standards embodied by the 7 NOLAN principles of conduct in public life. These include selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
We welcome applications from the BAME community.
