The salary for this post is SCP 23-32 plus £4,000 Recruitment & Retention allowance.
The role of Foster Carers and the care they provide for the children of St Helens is greatly valued. We need to recruit more foster carers and develop the package of support offered to our existing foster carers to ensure we retain the best foster carers. In order to do this, we are investing in our fostering service and are seeking to recruit fostering social workers to be involving in the recruitment, assessment and support of foster carers.
We welcome applications from newly qualified Social Workers and will provide you with a structured programme of training, mentoring and support. In addition, during your assessed and supported year of employment (ASYE) we offer a reduced and protected caseload and additional reflective supervision.
You will be given plenty of opportunities to develop your skills, knowledge and practice whilst ensuring we maintain the highest safeguarding standards and quality.
