Job Description
Class Teacher (Primary)
Location: PACE Primary PRU
Start Date: 1st September 2025

Are you passionate about making a real difference in children's lives?

We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and inspiring Class Teacher to join our dedicated team within PACE, supporting pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with experience working with children who have a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs.

We are seeking someone who shares our commitment to inclusive education and our belief in every child’s potential. As part of our growing and evolving collection of schools, there are excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

The successful candidate will:
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of how to engage and inspire pupils with SEMH needs.
• Be committed to building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Thrive as part of a diverse, multi-professional team.
• Share and embody our vision, values, and commitment to every child’s success.

In return, we offer:
• A welcoming and passionate team of staff dedicated to pupil outcomes and wellbeing.
• A strong commitment to your professional development with regular CPD and training opportunities.
• The chance to be part of a highly regarded and ambitious school community.
• A nurturing environment where your talents will be recognised, developed, and rewarded.
• The privilege of working with an amazing group of children and young people.

At St Helens Alternative Provision Service, we believe in empowering our pupils to take ownership of their learning, behaviour, and personal growth. We work closely with families, valuing the importance of a ‘team around the child’ approach to achieve the best outcomes.

If you are ready to inspire, support, and challenge young minds to thrive, we would love to hear from you. Visits to the school are highly recommended, you can contact our School Business Manager, David McClelland, on email aps.hr@sthelens.org.uk.

St Helens Alternative Provision Service is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and other vetting procedures including the provision of two good references.

We may undertake an online check for shortlisted candidates.
