Governors at Rainhill Community Nursery School are looking for a leader who can continue to inspire, motivate and lead the school and identify, develop and implement any changes that may be needed to achieve our vision and ambition.
Rainhill Community Nursery School is the only maintained nursery school in St Helens.
Keen to play our part in the wider education system, the school plays an active part in St Helen’s Early Years Hub and leads a teaching school.
Our vision is that children have; Freedom to explore – opportunities to express
Our Values set out the expectations we have of our children and staff:
Respect - for ourselves, for one another, in our school and in the wider community
Honesty and Consideration
Equality – across race, culture, gender, religion, language and special educational needs or disability
Lifelong Learning and Development
Co-operation – one team - collaborating seamlessly with parents, other professionals, schools and other nurseries or childcare establishments
Resilience, Quality and Standards – we have the highest expectations of ourselves and our partners as well as the children
Responsive and reflective – we seek the views of children and families to ensure that the services we offer meet the needs of children and families
Wellbeing – we prioritise the health, safety and well-being of children families and staff
Helping us further embed our vision and values as something that are seen, experienced and felt by all involved in the school is a key part of what we want you to come and help us achieve.
We face the same challenges as most schools in the current climate, nevertheless, in recent years we have taken action to secure the position of the school such as achieving Teaching School Status.
What do we see as our next steps?
We want to ensure the long term future of the school and to continue to provide our children with high quality provision where learning is inspirational and helps them achieve more than they and others might have thought at the outset was possible.
We want to build on the current reputation of the school creating an environment where all school staff feel able to develop to excellence and are open to this challenge and within which the school can have a positive impact on the wider education landscape.
This is a great time to join a school with strong foundations. It has benefited from a strong and committed governing board and committed staff team. The post offers considerable, exciting opportunities for you to make a significant impact as our new Headteacher to help us achieve our vision and ambition for our children, staff and the wider school community.
The post is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure Certificate.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
