We provide a wide range of local authority services to the residents, businesses, schools, and visitors to the borough. We can only do this because of our highly valued, highly skilled workforce.

Making A Difference as A Swimming Instructor in Leisure, Place Services Directorate
Based at Queens Park Health & Fitness Monday to Saturday
Do you have fabulous Swimming Instructor and customer care skills? Think you would enjoy working in a Leisure Centre environment and could become a great asset to our Aquatic Team? If so, then dive into applying for this role with passion, motivation, and join us in delivering outstanding learn to swim customer service.

Go Active is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Swimming Instructor with excellent aquatic skills to support in the delivery of our learn to swim programme. The role will be based at Queens Park Health and Fitness.

Ideally, we are looking for an individual with first-hand experience of working in the Leisure industry, enjoys working as part of a team and has excellent communication skills with a good understanding of aquatic service delivery.

Day to day duties include, teaching swimming to children, recording progression and recording attendance. Each of the tasks requires a high level of interaction and communication so it is imperative you are confident to work and deliver pool side based tuition.

You will be required to work 22 hours per week, but we would welcome a commitment to working flexibly in order to meet the overall needs of our aquatic service by providing cover for colleagues and attend training.

If successful, you will be eligible for the following benefits:
• Paid training opportunities to expand your skills, qualifications, and experience.
• Paid annual leave entitlement.
• Access to the full Go Active facilities, including our gyms, group exercise classes and of course, swimming.
• Enhanced rates for weekend work (time and a half) if you have worked within the same role, within the same week
If you have the appropriate skills and experience to add value to our service, then we would like to hear from you.
