Who are we?
At Lyme we create an inclusive learning environment for all where barriers do not narrow
any child’s potential to succeed. Through our ‘I CAN’ values we deliver an engaging
curriculum with personal development and achievement at the centre of everything we do
so that our children feel confident that they can achieve anything. We want our children to
leave Lyme with a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experiences so that they know their
talents and how they can contribute to the community and wider world.
What we want
The Governors of Lyme Community Primary School are looking to appoint an outstanding
Business Administration Apprentice to join our friendly staff team. Our team are committed
to ensuring every child is inspired, challenged, and nurtured so they can achieve the best
they can.
The successful candidate will be well organised, accurate and highly efficient. We are
looking for someone who is confident in their approach to work, have the ability to adapt
within the workplace and use their own initiative when it comes to organising tasks.
He/she will be primarily responsible for undertaking office/reception tasks required to
ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school and office, along with the School
Business Manager.
Fully support, guidance and training will be given to the successful candidate in completing
their qualification, which is equivalent to 2 A Levels.
It is essential that candidates will have achieved at least a Grade 4 in both English and
Maths, have excellent interpersonal skills and be proficient in the use of ICT packages and
systems.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a challenging role. The successful
candidate will be able to work independently using their own initiative, as well as working as
part of a team. As the first point of contact, we are looking for someone with excellent
communication skills who can deal with parents, staff, students, and the general public in a
welcoming and helpful way.
For an informal discussion about the post, candidates are welcome to contact Mrs Libby
O’Brien, School Business Manager on 01744 678350.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young
people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
