Job Description
At St Helens Borough Council we are committed to working as an integrated team to deliver the best outcomes for our children. As part of the Councils continued focus on improving the services we provide to the children, young people and families of St Helens, we are continuing to deliver and grow our dedicated service to meet the needs of our most vulnerable children and young people who are on the edge of care, in care or where there is a risk of placement instability. This dedicated service will provide both residential and outreach support and we are looking for committed individuals who really want to make a difference.

As a Social Worker you will be responsible for Providing services for and with children and families across the Borough, you will be part of an integrated team at a time of real opportunity for new developments which will benefit from your ideas and initiative. You will report to and be supported by the Service Lead for Edge of Care, with regular supervision and opportunities for training and development.

This is a great opportunity for you to join an established team and to be part of growing the vision for improving services to our most vulnerable children.

The successful candidate will be:-

· Social Work qualified
· Have at least 2 years post qualifying experience
· Have experience and knowledge of associated legislation
· Have a commitment to anti-oppressive and anti-discriminatory practice .

A vision and passion providing a targeting response to children and young people identified at the Edge of Care.
