Newton-le-Willows Health and Fitness has gone undergone significant renovation to modernise and improve its facilities for its members and new customers. We are looking for 2 enthusiastic and energetic young people who can join our team and complement our new look service.

We are also looking for 1 enthusiastic and energetic young person who can join our team and complement our new look service at Queens Park Health and Fitness Centre

This is a great opportunity to earn whilst you learn, gaining a host of leisure related qualifications which can put you on your way to a fantastic career within this exciting and fast paced industry. You will get direct, hands-on experience of various services within our centre whilst working alongside our experienced team members. Your main duties will include pool supervision, working in the Gym, cleaning, serving customers, reception duties and set up of equipment. There will also be an opportunity to get involved in our events and activities.

The offer is:

• An 18-month contract. First 12 months, hourly apprenticeship rate of £4.81 per hour and the following 6 months, age related National Minimum wage rate (under 18 £4.81 per hour, 18 to 20 £6.83 per hour, 21 -22 £9.18 per hour, 23+ £9.50 per hour)
• The chance to gain valuable work experience and a wide range of transferable skills.
• Comprehensive on and off the job training including the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification, Swimming Instructor Level 1 plus 2 and Gym Instructor Level 2
• The possibility of further opportunities after successful completion of the apprenticeship

You will be supported by a Workplace Mentor and will have regular reviews with your College Tutor.
