Job Description
The Licensing and Land Charges Section are looking to recruit a Licensing and Land Charges Assistant.

You must be enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team, with excellent IT and keyboard skills. You should have experience of working in a busy office environment, utilising IT programmes and packages.

You will be required to undertake a wide range of tasks and be able to communicate effectively on the telephone and face to face with customers.

Knowledge of working in a Licensing Team is desirable as training will be given.

Confidentiality is also very important for this post, together with excellent organisation skills and time management skills.

Duties will include:

- Assisting the Team Leader in provision of advice to the public regarding all licensing and land charges matters.
- Receipt, registration and processing of licensing applications.
- Up-keeping of the Land Charges Register, including addition of information to the register using a bespoke software package.
- Receipt, registration and processing of Land Charges Con29 and Common Land enquiries.
- To carry out face to face customer appointments for licensing and land charges.
- To assist with enforcement and compliance exercises for licensing.
- To ensure all income for the section is recorded accurately and monitored.
