Job Description
We have two exciting opportunities to join our Occupational Therapy Team in the role of Occupational Therapist Assistant. A 30 hour permanent and 37 hours temporary, for 12 months posts available..

Key to this vision is Contact Cares; which aims to simplify the way we access health and social care services from nursing assessment to social care; reablement to audiology, safeguarding to occupational therapy.

Based at Nightingale House our Occupational Therapy Team are committed to supporting and assisting people with disabilities to improve their quality of life and be as independent as possible in their home environment. You should have an interest in developing your skills working with adults with disabilities and will be responsible for the provision of equipment and adaptations to promote independence in the home.

You will work under the support and supervision of an Occupational Therapist but will complete independent assessments and carry your own caseload. You will be able to work on your own initiative and juggle a busy workload. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and you will be able to build strong working relationships with professionals and service users.

You should have a good understanding of physical disabilities and knowledge and experience of using a range of equipment and minor adaptations to support functional ability would be an advantage. You will have good IT skills.
