Required as soon as possible -
Post 1- a Level 2 qualified LSA to work within KS1 and KS2 with a very small number of children in receipt of high needs funding with SEND (including ASD) and SEMH needs.
Post 2- a Level 2 qualified LSA to work in EYFS with a child with SEND and SEMH needs.
A knowledge of using a trauma informed approach to learning would be advantageous.
The governors of this successful ‘Good’ Community Primary school wish to appoint two highly effective, enthusiastic learning support assistants to support a very small number of children in receipt of high needs funding, with SEND (including ASD) and SEMH needs in our school. The successful candidate should be able to work within a team of teachers and other learning assistants, be flexible and willing to learn new skills to help support the pupil in their care.
As well as providing support for a specific pupil, additional duties will include:
· Supporting individual children or small groups of pupils within class as part of their curriculum learning
· Supporting teaching staff in terms of administration and display work, including record keeping.
· Supervision of pupils and promotion of good behaviour
· Establishing positive relationships with parents/carers
· Contributing to the ethos of the school, and supporting extra-curricular activities and events.

You need to be a calm, patient and resilient, able to work well within a team and have the ability to make a positive contribution to the life of the school.
You must have a minimum qualification of NVQ L2 in Teaching Assistance
Experience working with children with additional needs in a school setting is desirable
Have excellent verbal communication skills
You must uphold the seven Nolan principles of public office
