The Social Work Assessment Service is seeking to recruit a Team Manager at this exciting time of development in St Helens. The Service supports children and families in respect of Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans and Children We Look after, including those in Care Proceedings. The successful applicant will have the ability to evidence their experience, skills in and passion for working with children and families to make a difference.

The salary for this post is up to £41,881 per annum plus an additional £4,000 per annum Recruitment and Retention allowance.

You will work to help support the effective and timely delivery of appropriate intervention and support services to children and their families.
The successful applicant will:
- Be an effective practitioner with at least 3 years’ experience post qualification
- Be committed to continuous professional development and practice improvement
- Possess strong communication and leadership skills
- Have experience of providing supervision
- Have demonstrable experience of delivering high quality services with positive outcomes
- Have experience in complex social work with children and families
