Making A Difference as a Support Assistant in Kershaw Day Support Centre

Two Support Assistant positions have become available at the award-winning Kershaw Day Support Centre.

First Post - 30 hours per week Monday to Friday
Second Post – 30.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday

To complement our award-winning team, we are looking to recruit a support assistant for a fantastic day service, supporting people with a range of age related and dual conditions including Dementia. Learning, Physical, and Sensory Conditions.

Kershaw Day Support Centre accommodates up to sixty people per day and is in Newton-Le-Willows.
As a support assistant, you will be expected to work across the service on a varied rota basis, offering person centred care and support to the people who attend the day centre.

Kershaw Day Support Centre is a very busy place, and you will actively involve in operational business, case file recording and management, implementing, evaluating person cantered care and support needs of the people who are referred to the centre.

The successful post holder will need to be able to respond to differing demands and prioritise tasks in conjunction with the Team Manager and Manager.

There will have contact with service users, carers and other professionals, knowledge and experience in good customer care, willingness to be flexible around the needs of our service users and motivation to work in a busy dynamic environment is essential.

• Ideally, you will have gained either NVQ level 2 or Care Certification.
• Prior experience of working with vulnerable people.
• Excellent knowledge of health and social care legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Enthusiasm, passion, and determination to achieve outstanding results and deliver the highest quality personalised care.
