The Governing Body of St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School Devon Street are seeking to appoint a positive, patient, and hard-working Learning Support Assistant to support a child diagnosed with complex Special Educational Needs of a social and emotional nature. The role also includes a significant level of personal care for the child.
The successful candidate should have experience working with a child who requires a personalised approach to their educational provision. They will work under the direction of the Class Teacher and SENCO providing one to one education and support and contribute to securing a safe, secure, happy environment in which our children can thrive.
It is essential that the candidate has excellent literacy and numeracy skills and it would be an advantage if the candidate was confident in providing a range of strategies for neurodiverse children. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
The post is subject to continued SEND funding.
