Job Description
Be at the Heart of Social Work for Children We Look After.

The Children We Look After know what they want from those of us who have the privilege to work for them.

We have all signed up to a Promise to deliver the best that we can alongside our children and their carers.

This is a great time to join the team as we continue to grow and achieve the best outcomes for both children and staff.

At St Helens Borough Council we are committed to working as a close knit and integrated team, to deliver the best outcomes for our children. This is an exciting time to join the partnership and have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of Children We Look After.

Your qualification, continued professional development and experiences will complement the management team in St Helens, who in turn will offer you support, the opportunity for further development and the chance to further improve outcomes for our children.

Reporting directly to the Head of Service, with regular supervision and opportunities for training and development, our Team Managers are in a strong position to influence and shape best practice.

In line with our new ways of working, this role is hybrid and will involve working from home with occasional working in our agile hub at Atlas House in St Helens Town Centre.

Council employees are required to abide by the ethical standards embodied by the 7 NOLAN principles of conduct in public life. These include selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.

We welcome applications from the BAME community.

For an informal conversation, please ring Head of Service Dominic Tumelty on 01744 67 3343 or email dominictumelty@sthelens.gov.uk

If you have the right skills, the Children We Look After are keen to meet you !
