The Difference you will Make in the role of Early Help Worker

Early help workers take the lead professional role at level 2 St Helens Descriptors of need undertaking assessments and developing support plans. You will be working with children from pre-birth up to 18 yrs. old. You will work both in the home and community.

As an Early Help Worker, you will make a huge difference to the lives of children and families in St Helens. You will be working together with the children, families, and other professionals to provide support as soon as possible to tackle difficulties before they may become more serious. Examples of issues could be, Domestic abuse, drug and alcohol use, child and adult mental health, neglect, parenting and behaviour management to name but a few. Every family has strengths, and you will help them to build on these to achieve positive outcomes.

Who should Apply?

If you have an NVQ 4 qualification in a related subject such as, Child Care, Youth Work, Working with Complex families or Health and Social Care, or the ability to work towards this qualification, we would welcome your application.
