Job Description

St John Vianney Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a learning assistant to join our hard-working, friendly team from September 2025.

St John Vianney Catholic Primary School is a popular and successful school with a very supportive Governing Body. We have a hard-working team of teachers and support staff who work effectively together. All staff are committed to ensuring every child is safe and has access to quality learning opportunities and achieves the best they can. We have a highly effective safeguarding and pastoral team who support pupils and families to promote and maintain positive mental health, excellent behaviour, and address barriers to learning.

The post is for 20.75 hours, term time only. The post is attached to external funding and will cease if the child leaves the school or if the funding is stopped, the post will continue if funding is provided.

The duties will include the following:

· Supporting Children with Special Educational needs in the classroom.
. Supporting individual children or small groups of children in all subjects.
. Providing medical support as required.
· Promotion of our School Values.
· Establishing positive relationships with parents/carers. Hours of work will be 8.45am -1pm
