An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Council’s Home Improvement Agency Disabled Facilities Grants team. This is a key role in supporting vulnerable people to remain living at home independently, in safety and comfort.
For this demanding role, you will need to be an excellent communicator with the confidence to liaise with customers, contractors, professionals etc. You will possess proven organisational skills, along with the ability to deal with complex issues in a sensitive manner. Working flexibly both as a team member and on your own in a demanding and diverse customer-focused environment, you will ideally have experience of working with elderly, disabled, vulnerable clients. You will possess the ability to have exceptional keyboard skills, data entry and retrieval skills, and be able to interrogate systems and produce detailed reports when required.
Council employees are required to abide by the ethical standards embodied by the 7 NOLAN principles of conduct in public life. These include selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
We welcome applications from the BAME community.
