Making A Difference as A Fitness Instructor in Leisure Services

We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced Fitness Instructors to work in the Council's Fitness Facilities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Newton-le-Willows Health and Fitness to recruit a highly motivated Fitness Instructor with vision, flair and excellent customer care skills. The successful candidate will be part of an inspired and successful team who have a proven track record in achieving high quality results and delivering an excellent service through our Gym Welcome programme. We have 1x 37 hours per week post based and Newton-Le-Willows Health & Fitness. The successful candidate must be able to complete the fundamentals of the role and should be competent in delivering group exercise classes and have the right skills set to inspire customers. Other roles include completing Fitness Inductions and Programmes, knowledge of all Go Active services for customer enquiries on the gym-floor, cleaning the Fitness Suite and Studios, have the ability to adapt service when necessary, and creativity to expand and deliver new sessions. Ideally, we are looking for an individual with first- hand experience working in the leisure industry, who enjoys working as part of a team and has excellent communication skills with a good understanding of service delivery.

· Enhanced rates for weekend end (time and a half / double time if you have worked within the same role, within the same week. If you have the relevant experience, plus the ability to maintain a demanding workload and assist with the development of new initiatives relating to fitness, this position would be ideal for you. You must be flexible in terms of hours of work, and willing to work a shift rota including evenings and weekends. The post is based at Newton-le-Willows Health & Fitness, however you may be required to work at any of the sites within our sports and leisure facilities. If you hold a Fitness Instructor Level 2 (Recognised Awarding Body) and have the skills and experience to add value to fitness team then we would like to hear from you.
