Job Description
LEARNING ASSISTANT LEVEL 3 (Primarily based in EYFS but may be required to cover in KS1 and KS2)

Term time only + 5 Inset Days.

The governors of this warm, dynamic, ambitious school are looking to appoint a hardworking, caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Learning Assistant to provide learning support for our pupils. In your supporting statement please make sure you make reference to the relevant person specification.

The successful applicants must be willing to take ownership of tailoring learning and resources to the child/children they work with, as well as working as part of a team. The role will also include providing cover to enable Planning, Preparation and Assessment time to be effectively managed. A flexible approach to duties will be required, together with a willingness to be involved in the wider life of the school.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment and to be familiar with appropriate procedures and protocols.

Candidates must be able to work as part of a skilled, well informed and positive team of staff and be able to think creatively to meet pupils needs. They must also be committed to overcoming barriers to learning to enable all children to reach their full potential.

This post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.

Working hours – 8:15am – 4:00pm (Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri) 8:15am-4:45pm (Tues – for staff meetings)
