We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Level 2 Learning Support Assistant to initially join our vibrant Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team. This role will involve supporting pupils with complex needs in Reception. Experience in implementing tailored strategies to support communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide targeted support and intervention to individual pupils or small groups, under the guidance of the class teacher
● Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities
● Observe and record children's progress, contributing to ongoing assessment
● Promote the development of pupils' social, emotional, and communication skills
● Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children
Requirements:
● Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent
● Experience working with children in an early years setting
● Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
Desirable Qualities:
● Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs
● Interest in or experience with therapeutic approaches, such as Thrive or Attachment-based interventions
● Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and a love of nature
