Job Description
The governors of Lyme Community Primary school are looking for an exceptional Headteacher to lead the school on the next phase of its journey to becoming Outstanding. Lyme is a one class entry primary school in Newton-le-Willows located in a modern well resourced building adjacent to the popular Lyme Country Park. In 2019 OFSTED graded Lyme as ‘Good’ and recognised strengths in leadership, approaches to learning and the attitudes of pupils. The school has an experienced staff team and supportive governing body and is well placed for building on strong foundations to support the vision of a new Headteacher.
The successful candidate will be team player and will have a strong alignment with the existing values of the school which are encompassed in its mission statement I CAN (Inspire, Challenge, Achieve, Nurture). It is also important to us that our new Headteacher is able to drive ambition for every pupil whilst balancing the importance of their personal development alongside academic excellence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with leadership experience within the primary phase to join an incredible team in a warm and welcoming school. If you feel that you have what it takes to be our next Headteacher we would love to hear from you.
