St Helens is seeking to attract a skilled and motivated person to join the borough's SEND service as a SEND Placement and Provision Officer.
As a Placement and Provision Officer, you will contribute to achieving improved outcomes for Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), by coordinating and identifying quality educational placements for SEND Children, that are matched, cost effective and that will meet their assessed needs, to ensure the child or young person is supported to fully access education.
You will manage a range of placement data systems to provide management information and liaise with other agencies, external providers and colleagues, in relation to the placement of SEND children. You will be responsible for a small team of administrative and clerical staff.
You will be a member of a multi professional team, who work closely with educational settings and professionals, to ensure that effective, appropriate and joined up provision is made for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability.
The successful applicant will have commitment, passion and enthusiasm as a champion for children with SEND and will have excellent communication and organisational skills.
