Making A Difference as A Housing Solutions & Advice Officer
St Helens Borough Council are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Housing Solutions and Advice Officer who can meet the challenge of finding housing solutions for local residents.
Working within the Housing Options service you will provide frontline advice for clients experiencing accommodation problems and be responsible for assessing their needs and deciding on the most appropriate course of action, including assisting people into temporary and permanent accommodation.
Additional capacity is required within the service to support rehousing for clients who have been accommodated by the Governments Homes for Ukraine programme.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Councils Refugee and Resettlement service to prevent homelessness and support move on.
A background in housing advice/options and knowledge of the Local Authority’s statutory duties under the Homelessness legislation is essential. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to customer care and the ability to deliver a quality service.
