Making A Difference as A Site Manager in the School Traded Services.

The Caretaking and Cleaning Service within St Helens Council have a vacancy for a Site Manager based at Newton Le Willows Primary School.

The hours are 37 per week. These hours are worked Monday to Thursday 6.00am - 9.30am and 2.15pm - 6.15pm and Fridays 6.00am - 9.30 pm and 2.45pm- 6.15pm

The Site Manager will be the premises key holder ensuring the school environment is secure, responsible for the unlocking and locking of premises. The Site Manager will attend alarm call outs out of normal hours where necessary.

The Site Manager will ensure safety inspections are completed to allow a safe school environment is maintained. Maintenance of the site will be the employee's responsibility in agreement with the Head Teacher, with regular inspections completed, along with any specific tasks completed.

The Site Manager will carry out an active role in supporting and monitoring cleaning staff, ensuring quality and standards are maintained, with collaborative support from Team Managers. The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring, control and ordering of materials and equipment for required duties.

The role will also be required to carry out cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing etc.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake any service specific training such as manual handling, ladder training, electrical awareness etc.

On occasion, overtime may be required to support the school, paid at the appropriate rate of pay.
