We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Consultant in Public Health/ Public Health Medicine/ Health Protection, to join our dynamic Public Health Leadership team and support our local response to covid19 over the next 12 months.
You will provide expert leadership and advice to our established Outbreak Management Team, our Enhanced Contract Tracers and the Asymptomatic Testing teams, working across the Council and in collaboration with the CCG, voluntary sector and other partners. You will support and lead the daily team briefings and outbreak management meetings and provide assurance to the local Outbreak Management and Health Protection Boards on our local response. You will take part in and support the coordination of the local on-call weekend arrangements and work closely with the other Public Health Consultants to lead, maintain and develop a robust test and trace and outbreak management function, working closely with local schools, businesses, the voluntary sector and vulnerable settings such as homeless hostels.
We have flexible ways of working in place in St Helens and you will be able to work virtually from home and will be part of a forward-thinking Public Health team that sits within the Integrated Health and Social Care Directorate, which also includes the CCG and Adult Social Care.
