The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a number of Level 3 Learning Assistants to join our happy and successful team during Autumn 2024. There are permanent and temporary posts available.
Experience of working with children with SEN and ASC/behavioural difficulties would be an advantage.
Lansbury Bridge School is a generic special school which caters for 234 children and young people, aged 4-14. All of our pupils have complex needs and have an EHCP in place. The majority of pupils have profound, severe or moderate learning difficulties while over 50% also have a diagnosis of ASC. A number have additional sensory, physical and medical difficulties.

Purpose of the Role
To work with and supervise individuals and groups of children under the direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs, enabling access to learning for all pupils and assistance and support in classroom management and behaviour techniques and providing specialist support in a specific curricular/resource area. Supervision of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers with agreed lesson plans in place. Provide short-term cover to enable Planning, Preparation and Assessment time to be effectively managed.
As a Level 3 Learning Assistant there is an expectation that you have the confidence and organisational skills to support and direct colleagues as instructed by the teacher.
