Making a difference at St Helens Council

The Assistant Director of Adult Social Care Commissioning will drive the development and commissioning of new approaches and services that truly “Promote good health, independence and care across our communities”. You will lead across our successful integrated partnership, St Helens Cares to put in place innovative, cost-effective, preventative and enabling approaches that release resources for those who most need them.

The purpose of the post includes:

Strategically leading the development and commissioning of services and approaches that meet the needs of people who access social care services.

Ensuring the highest possible levels of performance and effectiveness in accordance with the vision and priorities of the Council and Integrated Care Partnership.

Ensuring the Council and Integrated Care partnership complies with all statutory responsibilities in relation to the transformation and commissioning of Health and Social Care Services.

You will bring to the role an ability to empower staff, develop strong partner relationships and work with people who receive care and their families to deliver excellent caring services that make a difference to the lives of residents.
