Making A Difference as a Learning Disability / Mental Health Social Worker in St Helens

We have 2 immediate 12-month fixed term Social Worker vacancies within the Integrated Commissioning Team in St Helens. The team is responsible for commissioning high quality, person centred, value for money services to support the people of St Helens. The successful candidates will undertake assessments and reviews for people under the age of 67 who have a learning disability, physical disability or enduring Mental Health. There is also an expectation for the successful candidates to complete CoP applications. The work is complex in nature, but you will be supported with monthly supervision, informal support when required, appraisals and regular team meetings with the Working Age Social Work team. There is also a wide range of training available. The teams work under the hybrid model, and you will be able to access the hub via a booking system. You will be provided with the necessary equipment to enable you to work in a hybrid manner.

Experience of mental health, learning disability/autism agendas is an advantage. If you are motivated and would like to join a supportive team, we would like to hear from you.
You must possess a relevant Social Work qualification - CQSW, DIPSW, CSS or a Degree in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England.

An additional £1,500 (pro rata) Recruitment & Retention allowance will be paid for experienced Social Workers SCP 26 - 32, subject to annual review.
