Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing team as part of the reshaping of our ASD provision offer. The governors of Rectory C of E Primary school are looking to appoint a skilled teacher to work within our ASD Provisions.

At Rectory C of E Primary School, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do which is underpinned by our Christian ethos. With ‘God as our Strength’, we firmly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their potential regardless of background, special educational needs, gender, or any other barrier to achievement. We are a mainstream primary school with a Resourced Base and Specialist Unit Provisions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

For us achievement is holistic, our community strives to nurture rounded Christians ready to step out into the wider world to realise their dreams. We do this through a tailored curriculum developing pupils as individuals socially, academically, and spiritually.

Our ASD Provision is celebrated as a successful part of Rectory and we are proud to share our good practice and attract pupils from across the local authority and beyond.

Specialist Base:
The Specialist Base caters for 16 pupils who have Autism and associated learning and communication difficulties with a higher level of needs. The majority of these pupils’ learning takes place in the Base building, with access to the main school wherever possible depending upon individual learner’s needs.

Resourced Provision:
The Resourced Provision caters for 16 pupils with Autism, who access learning and the curriculum in a balanced way between the main school and the Base and the potential to access at least 50% of their learning in the main school.

We can offer: -
- A strong, shared vision for our units
- A supportive, enthusiastic, and well qualified staff
- A commitment to your continued professional development
- Opportunities to work on new initiatives

We are looking for an excellent teacher who: -
- Champions every child they teach.
- Provide excellent standards of teaching, learning and attainment for all learners with specific focus on the SEND children within the ASD bases
- Is supportive of our distinctly Christian ethos.
- Can create a positive classroom climate that reflects our school's vision and values.
- Is a reflective, creative, and critical thinker and is able to work as effectively as part of a team

Please state your curriculum strengths, interests, and any special qualities you can bring to our school.

With our school website being under reconstruction, I would love for you to view our school twitter feed and read our weekly newsletter to get a feel of life at Rectory. Interested applicants can visit the school on Tuesday 24th January 2023 at 10am or Thursday 26th January 2023 at 2pm. Please contact the school office to book a time with Mr Brook our Headteacher.
