Making A Difference as a Social Worker in Contact Cares Emergency Department at Whiston Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established social care team in the Emergency Department at Whiston Hospital. We are an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team with the primary aim of ensuring a safe and timely discharge of patients across a number of local authorities. The team work closely with Frailty Unit also to achieve the same.

The work is diverse, challenging and rewarding, requiring individuals to be able to work independently and contribute to the working of a larger multi-disciplinary team. The team is a mixed skill group with a range of experience who provide a supportive working environment.

You would be expected to work on a rolling 7 day rota including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

*An additional £750 Recruitment & Retention allowance will be paid for experienced Social Workers SCP 26 - 32, subject to annual review at 31/03/2025.
