Making A Difference as an Assistant Cook within the School Traded Services.

An Assistant Cook is required for Broad Oak Community Primary School.

The hours of work are 22.50 hours per week. These hours are worked between the hours of 9.15am and 1.45pm (variable to meet the needs of the service).

The main duties of the post are;

Assisting in the day to day management of a large primary production kitchen and to the systems and standards as laid down by the catering division.
Assist in organising a large work force, preparation, cooking and serving food to the highest possible standard, ordering supplies, controlling portion size, menu and product range planning, supervision.

You will also be required to cover for the Cooks post as and when required and be willing to work towards your NVQ Level 2 in Catering.
