St Helens Cares is the new approach to delivering Health and Social Care in St Helens, bringing together a wide range of public and community service organisations, to work in partnership with a united goal of improving people’s lives and improving St Helens as a whole. St Helens Borough Council is proud to be part of this partnership.
Key to this vision is Contact Cares; a multi-disciplinary service which aims to simplify the way we access health and social care services, from nursing assessments to social care, reablement services to audiology, safeguarding to occupational therapy and medicine management to intermediate care services.
Based at Nightingale House (Whiston Hospital site), Contact Cares is a large and busy multi-disciplinary team made up of colleagues from Health, Social Care and Housing. Under the direction of the Contact Cares Team Leaders, you will provide administrative support and assistance to the team which, will include frequent telephone contact with service users, carers and other professionals.
You will be able prioritise tasks and respond to differing demands, in conjunction with the needs of team members and managers and be confident in the use of IT e.g. word, excel, databases.
